Straight Chords Weave a 3D Diamond Crown

BEHIND THE WORK

A point weaves a 3D diamond crown.

Along a four-cusp 3D saddle boundary defined by x(u) = R cos³(u), y(u) = R sin³(u), and z(u) = H sin(4u), chords jump across opposite vertices in a continuous sequence. As the line accumulates through space, the intersecting chords weave a luminous, architectural 3D diamond lattice that culminates in a majestic spatial diamond crown.

Artismathic turns equations into visual art—one function at a time.

THE MATHEMATICAL RULE

x(u)=Rcos3(u)x(u) = R cos³(u)y(u)=Rsin3(u)y(u) = R sin³(u)z(u)=Hsin(4u)z(u) = H sin(4u)
